Hoops for Housing is a fundraiser to benefit Briarpatch Youth Services, a non-profit that provides housing and services to homeless teens in Dane County, Wisconsin. The idea for Hoops for Housing started in May 2014 when 10 year old Simon Gildrie-Voyles told his mother that he wanted to start a basketball ball tournament to raise money for a homeless shelter in Madison, WI. Simon and his mother approached the Outreach and Vestry at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church and with the support of the church Hoops for Housing was scheduled for August 8th 2015. Many people and organizations have helped make Simon's idea a reality if you would like to help or participate you can contact Simon at hoopsforhousing@gmail.com
